Bohemian Vintage Kantha Quilt Cotton Throw Blanket Burgundy Suzani Stitched

One side is Burgundy with mulit coloured stitching, and the reverse side contrasts with an elegant off-white striped design. 

Imagine snuggling around an open fire under this beauty, or that bohemian beach party, not to mention using it for a romantic picnic rug.

Utilizing around four to five layers of cotton sari cloth, this Kantha was hand-stitched over many days to create a blanket.

As time went on, talented female artisans also chose to hand embroider with suzani stitch.

It is Grade A1, making it a rare and treasured vintage textile.

Well sized at 190 x 137 cm, it will fit a single bed as a quilt - photographed on a six seater table.
